Transitional Schedules for IPPC Implementation

• Combustion activities - burning any fuel in an appliance with a rated thermal input of 50 MW or more.
• Combustion activities - burning of waste oil, recovered oil or fuel manufactured from or comprising any other waste (unless the activity is carried out as part of a Part A(2) or (B) activity.

• Refining gas where this is likely to involve the use of 1,000 tonnes or more of gas in any period of 12 months;
• Reforming natural gas;
• Coal or lignite gasification;
• Purifying or refining any product of any of the activities listed above;
• Refining mineral oils;
• Loading, unloading or other handling of, the storage of, or the physical, chemical or thermal treatment of (inter alia) crude oil, stabilised crude petroleum; crude shale oil, or any associated gas or condensate (only when related to another activity listed in this paragraph).

• Disposal of waste by incineration.

• Disposal of waste by landfill.

• Recovery of waste.

• Production of fuel from waste.
