How to use site

The website can be navigated in a number of ways:

Indices - alphabetical and topic indices are provided, and these can be accessed by the navigation buttons to the left of the frame. The topic indices are broken down into exploration, wells and drilling, production, export and pipelines, decommissioning and onshore. Links on these pages will then direct you to the relevant topic or issue page.

The topic and issue pages are broken down into a number of sections ranging from consent application to pending legislation. These sections can be read by scrolling down the page or by jumping straight to them using the bookmark tabs at the top. A print page button is also provided that will print a printer friendly version. Where available links to the full legislative text are provided.

Summary tables - a number of summary tables have been produced reflecting frequently asked questions. These can be accessed either via the topic indices, the Summary Tables link or through the quick links to the left. Again a print page button is provided.

Updates

A major review and site update is undertaken on a quarterly basis and a summary of the 2012/2013 update schedule is provided below. New or amended text is highlighted.

Latest News and Ongoing Consultations on the Home Page and News and Updates are updated more frequently as required. For frequent users of the site, the "News & Updates" provides a summary of all recent updates and snippets of information. Registered site users will also receive notifications of major updates to the site.
